District calendar update

The Board of Education has approved a change to the district calendar, moving a scheduled day off of school from Feb. 20 to March 5. This change was made to accommodate the Minnesota primary election.

Many district buildings are polling locations for the public. The primary election will result in a large number of residents and community members entering schools throughout the day to vote. The change to the calendar – moving the Feb. 20 staff development day to March 5 – allows for a safer and more secure school day for staff and students, and a better experience for voters.
